Evolver’s Chip Block will join a panel discussing how corporate boards and the C-Suite can work together to make cyber risk a priority topic.

The National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) is hosting a 2018 Speakers’ Program panel in North Carolina’s Research Triangle tackling the growing need for corporate leadership to formulate or update their cyber risk strategy. Evolver Vice President Chip Block will join the panel speaking May 15 at the Sheraton Imperial in Durham.

The NACD helps board leaders navigate business challenges and shareholder value. The May 15 panel, “Cybersecurity: Why Board and C-Suite Alignment is Critical to Managing Cyber Risk,” will focus on “the impact that a security breach can have on an enterprise and how leadership can work together to manage cyber threats.” Chip will be joined by representatives from Cisco Systems, the Privacy and Cybersecurity Team of Womble Bond Dickinson, and the deputy General Counsel of Hanesbrands Inc.

Chip is a FAIR-certified analyst and the architect of Evolver’s Cyber Risk Ecosystem. This information security approach directly ties the cyber expenditures to the core business functions, reducing business risk and providing logical and defensible plans and actions that C-level staff can understand, implement, and measure. He has over 30 years of advanced technology research and development experience. Chip works extensively in the areas of cyber research and advises Evolver’s clients on cyber operations, cyber-risk quantification, and cyber insurance.
